Enlace continues to work

Updated: Jul 21, 2020

Like the rest of our city, country and world, our offices physically closed their doors on March 16, and our staff began operating remotely due to the COVID-19 health crisis. Since then, we have done everything possible to respond to the needs and concerns of our community, which, according to city and state statistics, has been one of the most impacted by COVID-19.

Understanding the economic precariousness that many of our members had and must face as a direct result of this pandemic, Enlace Chicago started an emergency fund in March to assist La Villita families. Many of you, like many of our donor foundations, supported this fund, which to this day has managed to support more than 654 families in our community.

We want to thank Second Federal Savings for helping us distribute these funds and all of our neighborhood partners, who have not rested searching for resources to bring to our community.

The teams from all the focus areas continue to actively work and collaborate with each other and with external partners to deal with this crisis. We do not know what the future brings. What we do know is that we will continue working in the most efficient and safe way possible, to continue providing support. We invite you to read the rest of our newsletter to learn about some of the actions that we have been taking in these past months.
